From the kitchen of Miriam
2 c shortening
2 c white sugar
2 c brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
4 c flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
5 c oatmeal
1 bag semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
Cook on greased cookie sheet at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
